As 2013 comes to a close, we continue to implement the goals of Vision 2017. These have enabled us to improve, enrich and support the educational experience of our students while also strengthening our community and University identity.
Our new graphic identity, which includes our new mascot, logo and updated website, expresses and supports the great tradition of Saint Xavier University as well as the pride we hold and the dedication we take in this University as it envisions the future. Though we are a diverse community, we come together as one under a graphic identity that is distinctively and uniquely Saint Xavier.
Even more significant, our freshman admission numbers continue to grow as our programs continue to achieve academic success and acclaim. Our School of Nursing Online Programs, for example, were ranked No. 1 in the country by the 2014 U.S. News & World Report. And we have launched an accelerated bachelor of nursing program to better serve the needs of our students. The Graham School of Management likewise has launched several new and innovative programs, including the 15-month graduate program in internet and social media marketing. It also has opened a state-of-the-art Center for the Study of Financial Markets and Derivatives. As they have throughout our history, the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education continue to meet the needs of student-centered education with their own rigorous programs which evolve to meet the rigorous and changing needs of accreditation and licensure.
Without the help of a strong, committed and generous community of supporters, much of this would not be possible. I extend my deepest gratitude to those individuals, groups and organizations who have assisted Saint Xavier University in fulfilling its time-honored mission to the students we educate.
